2 Read the listing: authentication and seller

She swipes the photos 1, reads the authentication block 2 — authenticated by Veritrace, a finding that is not a guarantee by the marketplace — and the seller card 3: Claire Arden, Maison Arden, a business seller, 4.8 from 37 ratings, with the statement that ratings come only from completed purchases and a note that consumer rights apply. A hub inspection is only an option she can add at checkout. Offer and Message sit beside Buy and are not used here. She taps Buy now 4.

3 Check out, no inspection

The moment Buy was tapped the bag was reserved for her, and the checkout shows “Reserved for you” with a countdown (anyone else now sees the listing as Reserved). She confirms the delivery address, her saved address in Lisbon 1, leaves the inspection choice on “No inspection, ship directly” 2, checks the currency, EUR 3, reads the price: €4,300.00 for the bag and €45.00 shipping, €4,345.00 in all, with no tax line and no inspection fee 4, and taps Pay 5. A line says the seller is a business seller and that consumer rights apply.

4 Paid

The payment goes through. On the phone a push, “Payment received”, comes in; on the website it is the notification under the bell 1. Tapping it opens the order: paid, awaiting shipment, payment collected (€4,345.00), the first step of the timeline done, tracking “not shipped yet”, and the delivery panel says direct delivery and “Inspection: not requested”. The bag now shows as sold.

5 Claire creates the label and ships

Claire taps the push “New order to ship” 1 (on the website, the notification under the bell), which opens the order: the buyer’s name, city and country, and her net after commission. She taps Create and print label 2; the label for direct delivery to Sofia opens ready to print, with the full address on the label only, and the order moves to “label created”. She hands the parcel to Northline Express 3, and at the carrier’s first scan the order is “in transit”. This is the only seller step drawn.

6 Both follow the tracking

Sofia taps Account 1, opens Buying, My orders 2, opens the flap bag order 3 — its chip says “in transit” — and reads the tracking events 4: Northline Express, picked up in Antwerp on Tue 13 Oct, in transit, out for delivery. The timeline is read-only. Claire sees the same events in her seller view. Insurance and signature on delivery are not shown.

7 Delivered

On Thu 15 Oct the carrier confirms delivery and a push, “Your order was delivered”, arrives 1; on the website it is the notification under the bell. It names the Lisette Paris Quilted Flap Bag and opens the order. The order is now delivered, and the protection period has started.

8 Protection period running

Sofia reads the status, “delivered” 1, and scrolls the timeline 2. The protection period note has no length, Open a case is on the screen and is not tapped, and the payment still says collected. Nothing happens for her during the period; the payout waits on Claire’s side.

9 The period ends: order completed, seller paid

No case was opened, so the order became completed. Sofia opens the push “Your order is complete, rate Maison Arden” 1, which lands on My orders 2, and the flap bag order shows “completed” 3 with a Rate the seller action. The completed order released Claire’s payout to her payment account; Sofia does not see it, and Claire’s side is not drawn.

10 Rate the seller

She taps Rate the seller 1, taps five stars 2 — stars only, there is no comment — and taps Send rating 3. The sheet closes to “Rated, 5 stars” and the order shows it cannot be rated again. The rating is published and counts in Claire’s reputation: 37 ratings become 38, average 4.8.

11 The bag is taken meanwhile

Alternative: Sofia taps Buy on the listing while another buyer holds the reservation, or the item has just sold. The checkout shows “This item is no longer available” and she has not been charged. She taps Find similar 1. The listing page itself shows Reserved or Sold, with its buttons off and similar items in their place.

12 The bank asks for an extra check

Alternative: Sofia taps Pay 1 and the payment provider asks for an extra check, which opens inside the checkout. She completes it 2 and the flow returns to step 4. If the payment is declined instead, the order stays reserved, she is told, and she taps Try again 3 while the reservation lasts.

13 A problem after delivery

Alternative: during the protection period Sofia taps Open a case 1. The case form of the flow Return or dispute opens, the order goes to “in dispute” and the payout stays blocked.
